What we collect

Account details

Your email address and name, used to create and secure your account.

Golf profile

Information you choose to enter: display name, age, gender, height, handedness, handicap, goals, practice preferences, and the clubs in your bag. Your profile photo, if you set one, stays on your device only - we never upload it.

Swing and shot data

This is what the app is for: per-shot measurements (club and ball speed, launch, spin, strike location and similar metrics), practice session summaries, your session notes, and the raw motion-sensor recordings captured by your StrikeSense sensor during a swing. Raw recordings kept on your device are automatically deleted after 30 days.

Crash and error reports

If the app encounters a problem, a technical report (the error, your device model, iOS version, and app version) is sent to our error-monitoring service so we can fix bugs. These reports are configured to contain no account or personal information.

Website and waitlist

When you join the StrikeSense waitlist on our website, we collect your email address, the date and time you signed up, your consent preferences, your unsubscribe status, and limited technical information collected by our website or email platform (such as IP address or browser information, where applicable).

We do not collect your location, contacts, or anything from other apps, and the app contains no advertising or analytics trackers.

How we use it

We do not sell your data, share it for marketing, or use it for advertising.

Where it lives

Your app data is stored with Amazon Web Services in London (eu-west-2) - database, file storage, and sign-in service. Crash reports are stored with Sentry on servers in the European Union (Germany). Our waitlist and product emails are handled by MailerLite. These providers act as our processors, only process personal data on our instructions, and do not use your data for their own purposes.

International transfers

Some of our service providers may process personal data outside the UK. Where this happens, we take appropriate steps - such as relying on adequacy decisions or standard contractual safeguards - to ensure your personal data remains protected in accordance with UK data protection law.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data until you delete your account. Raw sensor recordings on your own device are removed after 30 days automatically. We keep your waitlist email and related information until you unsubscribe, ask us to delete it, or we no longer need it for the purposes described here. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or erase your data:

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
